Moores Cancer Center is dedicated to translating promising scientific discoveries into new and better options for the care of patients with cancer.
Founded in 1979, it is the only center in San Diego and Imperial counties to hold the NCI (National Cancer Institute) designation and as a NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Center). Moores Cancer Center ranks among the top centers in the country and was recently recognized as a top 50 center by US News and World Report. Moores Cancer Center conducts basic and translational cancer research, provides excellence in patient care, and serving the community through outreach and education programs.
